Smyrna Bulldogs (Smyrna, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Summertown Eagles (Summertown, TN), 12-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to LaVergne for a challenge on Monday, March 28. Smyrna will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 20-3 non-league loss to Columbia Central (Columbia, TN). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Summertown drops to 3-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Forrest (Chapel Hill, TN) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league game on Monday, March 28. The Rockets come into the game with a record of 2-3. Forrest lost 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM)
