Marshall County Tigers (Lewisburg, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Sunday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Saint Viator for a non-league challenge on Sunday, March 26. Marshall County will face a Lions squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Lions record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Elmwood Park falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to North Daviess (Elnora, IN) to face the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. North Daviess lost 8-4 in their recent league challenge against Loogootee (Loogootee, IN)
