Missouri High School Baseball - Central nips North County

Central Tigers (Cape Girardeau, MO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball team nip the host North County Raiders (Bonne Terre, MO), 7-6 in a league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they host Windsor for a Class 5 District 1 bout on Wednesday, March 27. Central will face a Owls team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Jefferson (Festus, MO). The Owls record now stands at 2-3.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the DeSoto Dragons (DeSoto, MO) in a Class 5 District 1 test, on Thursday, March 28. North County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Dragons come into the test with a 3-1 record after their 12-1 non-league win over St. Clair (St. Clair, MO).
