The Harmony Eagles crushed the host Mount Vernon Tigers baseball team by a tally of 8-0 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Eagles now hold a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winona for a 3A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, April 2. Harmony will face a Wildcats team coming off a 17-0 league loss to Chapel Hill (Mount Pleasant, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-11.
Next, the Tigers face the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 bout, on Friday, April 5. Mount Vernon will attempt to advance on its 13-19 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 7-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Como-Pickton (Como, TX).
