Varsity Opponent (, ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves (Dumfries, VA), 12-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Varsity Opponent upgrades its record to 27-77 on the season. The host Georgetown Day (Washington, DC) to clash with the Mighty Hoppers in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 26. The Mighty Hoppers go into the game with a record of 0-3. Georgetown Day lost 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL)
The Wolves (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA). The Knights go into the non-league game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Bishop O'Connell ran past DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD), 7-3, in a league game.
