The Valley Central Vikings softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks to 7 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Valley Central improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Vikings host Wallkill (Wallkill, NY) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 27. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Goldbacks clash with the Pine Bush Bushmen (Pine Bush, NY) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 8. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
