Yelm Tornados (Yelm, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Quilcene Rangers (Quilcene, WA), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Tornados now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host North Thurston for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8.

With the loss, Quilcene falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Olympic (Bremerton, WA) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
