Concord Pirates (Concord, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pangburn Tigers (Pangburn, AR), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Vernon-Enola for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Wednesday, March 27. Concord will battle a Warhawks squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Quitman (Quitman, AR). The Warhawks record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Pangburn falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Heber Springs (Heber Springs, AR) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Heber Springs won 14-9 in their recent league challenge against Lonoke (Lonoke, AR)
