Tunkhannock Tigers (Tunkhannock, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Crestwood for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Tunkhannock will face a Comets squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Comets record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Wallenpaupack Area falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Buckhorns travel to Honesdale (Honesdale, PA) to face the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 1. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Honesdale lost 15-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA)
