In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Fairfield Mules baseball team scored a close 7-0 win over the Waltonville Spartans.
The Mules (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL). The Wooden Shoes go into the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Teutopolis nudged Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL), 13-1, in a non-league game.
