Illinois High School Baseball - Galesburg edges Metamora

The Galesburg Silver Streaks baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Metamora Redbirds to 7 in the Silver Streaks non-league win on Wednesday.

The Silver Streaks now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to McHenry for a non-league test on Saturday, March 29. Galesburg will play a Warriors team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Metamora drops to 2-3 on the year. The Redbirds host Normal University (Normal, IL) to play the Pioneers in a non-league test on Thursday, March 27. The Pioneers go into the test with a record of 2-1. Normal University won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL)
