The Putnam County War Eagles soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Alcovy Tigers to 0 in the War Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.

The War Eagles now hold a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Utopian Academy for the Arts for a 1A D-I Area 4 bout on Friday, March 28. Putnam County will play a squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Jasper County (Monticello, GA). The record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Alcovy moves to 2-7 on the year. The Tigers host Clarke Central (Athens, GA) to play the Gladiators in a 5A Area 8 bout on Friday, April 4. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 10-1.
