The Wicksburg Panthers softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Athens Golden Eagles to 5 in the Panthers non-league win on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 24-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houston Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. Wicksburg will encounter a Raiders team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Oswego (Oswego, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Athens moves to 15-8 on the season. The Golden eagles travel to Sparkman (Harvest, AL) to encounter the Senators in a non-league battle on Monday, March 31. The Senators come into the battle with a record of 21-7. Sparkman lost 2-0 in their recent league battle against Huntsville (Huntsville, AL)
