North Carolina High School Softball - Butler bounces Carson

March 26, 2025: China Grove, NC 28023

The Butler Bulldogs softball team scored 20 runs and held the host Carson Cougars to 8 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Garinger for a Southwestern 4A battle on Friday, March 28. Butler will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 19-17 non-league win over Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Carson moves to 2-7 on the season. The Cougars host Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC) to confront the Knights in a South Piedmont 3A battle on Friday, March 28. The Knights come into the battle with a record of 2-6. Lake Norman Charter lost 2-1 in their recent league battle against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC)
