The Church Point Bears softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays to 4 in the Bears non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bears now sport a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beau Chene for a non-league battle on Monday, March 31. Church Point will encounter a Gators team coming off a 11-8 non-league loss to Eunice (Eunice, LA). The Gators record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, St. Edmund moves to 5-7 on the season. The Fighting blue jays host Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA) to encounter the Hornets in a 1A District 6 battle on Thursday, March 27. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 15-6. Catholic of Pointe Coupee lost 6-0 in their recent league battle against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA)
