California High School Softball - West Valley bounces Corning

March 26, 2025: Corning, CA 96021

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) and the host Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA), witnessed West Valley's softball team overcome Corning by a margin of 14-1.

The Eagles now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Las Plumas for a non-league outing on Friday, March 28. West Valley will encounter a Thunderbirds team coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Enterprise (Redding, CA). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Corning moves to 1-10 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Orland (Orland, CA) to encounter the Trojans in a Butte View outing on Tuesday, April 1. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 7-2. Orland won 7-0 in their recent non-league outing against Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA)
