The Kaplan Pirates softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Ponchatoula Green Wave to 1 in the Pirates non-league win on Wednesday.

The Pirates now possess a 22-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Thomas More for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. Kaplan will confront a Cougars team coming off a 20-0 league win over Westgate (New Iberia, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 18-5.

With the loss, Ponchatoula moves to 14-10 on the season. The Green wave travel to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA) to confront the Skippers in a 5A District 6 battle on Thursday, March 27. The Skippers come into the battle with a record of 12-4. Mandeville won 6-5 in their recent league battle against Covington (Covington, LA)
