The Jacksonville Crimsons baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays to 1 in the Crimsons non-league victory on Monday.

The Crimsons (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Titans go into the Central State Eight match with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Glenwood was overwhelmed by Triad (Troy, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

With the defeat, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central falls to 5-2 on the season. The Bluejays travel to Lewistown (Lewistown, IL) to encounter the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 29. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Lewistown lost 6-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Athens (Athens, IL)
