The Nansemond River Warriors routed the host Bayside Marlins softball squad by a final score of 24-8 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Deep Creek notched a victory over King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 17-1, in a non-league battle.
The Marlins now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Princess Anne for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 30. Bayside will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Cox (Virginia Beach, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-1.
