Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Enterprise for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. Hewitt-Trussville will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-4 league win over Dothan (Dothan, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, Forest falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Morton (Morton, MS) to battle the Panthers in a 3A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 10-10. Morton won 15-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS)
