California High School Softball - Mt. Eden bounces Miramonte

Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Monarchs now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Encinal for a West Alameda County-Shoreline challenge on Thursday, March 30. Mt. Eden will battle a Jets squad coming off a 12-2 league win over San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Jets record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Miramonte falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Matadors host Acalanes (Lafayette, CA) to battle the Dons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 29. The Dons enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Acalanes lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Benicia (Benicia, CA)
