Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Monterey Wolves (Monterey, LA), 12-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 16-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Iota for a 3A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 28.
With the loss, Monterey falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Grace Christian (Alexandria, LA) to battle the Warriors in a B District 5 challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 9-7.
