The Byron Tigers baseball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Galena Pirates to 2 in the Tigers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The Indians go into the Big Northern match with a 2-3 record.
The Pirates (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Durand/Pecatonica (Durand, IL). The Rivermen go into the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Durand/Pecatonica was overwhelmed by Freeport (Freeport, IL), 12-1, in a non-league match.
