The St. Thomas More Sabers baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Schlarman Hilltoppers to 7 in the Sabers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Sabers (6-3) will now prepare for their match against Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Indians go into the Illini Prairie match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Pontiac was overwhelmed by Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL), 11-1, in a league match.
The Hilltoppers (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Paris (Paris, IL). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Paris was overwhelmed by Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL), 8-2, in a non-league match.
