Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pana Panthers (Pana, IL), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warrensburg-Latham for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. Auburn will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 15-6 league win over Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Pana falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL) to battle the Hiltoppers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Hiltoppers enter the challenge with a record of 5-3.
