California High School Softball - Bakersfield bounces Shafter

The Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA) softball routed the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), 14-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Drillers (5-9) will now prepare for their bout against Ridgeview (Bakersfield, CA). The Wolf Pack go into the South Yosemite Valley bout with a 7-9 record. In their last bout, Ridgeview was routed by Independence (Bakersfield, CA), 11-2, in a league bout.

The Generals now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they host McFarland for a South Sequoia bout on Tuesday, April 2. Shafter will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Avenal (Avenal, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 6-11.
