Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ), 10-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cactus Shadows for a 5A Northeast Valley challenge on Thursday, March 28.

With the loss, Campo Verde falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Coyotes host Higley (Gilbert, AZ) to face the Knights in a 5A San Tan challenge on Friday, March 29. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. Higley won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ)
