Minooka Indians (Minooka, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Joliet West for a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Thursday, March 28. Minooka will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Coal City falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Coalers travel to Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL) to battle the Hilltoppers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
