East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Richmond Red Devils (Richmond, IN), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Columbus North for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28.

With the loss, Richmond falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Red devils host Lawrence North (Indianapolis, IN) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
