Thomas Nelson Generals (Bardstown, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Frankfort Panthers (Frankfort, KY), 17-16 in a non-league challenge.

The Generals now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Fairdale for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29.

With the loss, Frankfort falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Franklin County (Frankfort, KY) to face the Flyers in a District 41 challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Flyers enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Franklin County lost 12-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY)
