Ponte Vedra Sharks (Ponte Vedra, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Glenwood Gators (Phenix City, AL), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Augustine for a 5A District 3 challenge on Thursday, March 28. Ponte Vedra will battle a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 20-0 non-league loss to Nease (Ponte Vedra, FL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-10.

With the loss, Glenwood falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Calvary Christian (Columbus, GA) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 11-6.
