The New Richmond Tigers softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Middleton Cardinals to 1 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, New Richmond moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Tigers travel to River Falls (River Falls, WI) to play the Wildcats in a Big Rivers game on Tuesday, April 2. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 0-1. River Falls lost 5-1 in their recent non-league game against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI)

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Carmichaels Mighty Mikes (Carmichaels, PA) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 29. Middleton will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Mighty Mikes come into the game with a 2-0 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Hollins (St. Petersburg, FL).
