St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Somonauk Bobcats (Somonauk, IL), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host Yorkville Christian for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4.

With the loss, Somonauk falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL) to battle the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Ottawa lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Beecher (Beecher, IL)
