The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV) and the visiting South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV), saw Winfield's softball squad achieve victory over South Charleston by a count of 11-2.

The Generals now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Sissonville for a Cardinal match on Thursday, March 28. Winfield will face a Indians squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Indians record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, South Charleston falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Black eagles host Cabell Midland (Ona, WV) to face the Knights in a Mountain State match on Thursday, March 28. The Knights enter the match with a record of 7-0. Cabell Midland won 17-0 in their recent non-league match against Independence (Coal City, WV)
