In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Abington Heights Comets baseball team scored a close 6-1 win over the Mid Valley Spartans.
The Comets (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Knights go into the Lackawanna 1 game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Scranton nudged Dallas (Dallas, PA), 6-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Spartans play the Montrose Meteors (Montrose, PA) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 31. Mid Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Meteors go into the game with a 1-3 record after their 9-7 non-league loss to Lakeland (Jermyn, PA).
