Alabama High School Baseball - Shelby County defeats Boyd-Buchanan

In Thursday's non-league game, the host Shelby County Wildcats baseball team scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers.

The Wildcats (15-10) will now prepare for their game against Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL). The Lions enter the 5A Area 8 game with a 12-12 record. In their last game, Briarwood Christian defeated Houston (Germantown, TN), 14-13, in a non-league game.

Next, the Buccaneers face the McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 27. Boyd-Buchanan will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Cherokees enter the game with a 8-3 record after their 9-5 non-league win over Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN).
