The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Briarwood Christian Lions (Birmingham, AL) and the visiting Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL), saw Briarwood Christian's baseball team gain a win over Smiths Station by a tally of 8-2.
The Lions (11-11) will now prepare for their battle against Rossview (Clarksville, TN). The Hawks enter the non-league battle with a 13-1 record. In their last battle, Rossview held off Stanhope Elmore (Millbrook, AL), 12-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Panthers face the Hartselle Tigers (Hartselle, AL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 27. Smiths Station will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 14-6 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Prattville (Prattville, AL).
