Arizona High School Baseball - Coronado nips Cortez

March 27, 2025: Scottsdale, AZ 85257

The Coronado Dons baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Cortez Colts to 11 in the Dons league win on Thursday.

The Dons now own a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Yuma for a 4A Black Canyon test on Monday, March 31. Coronado will clash with a Criminals team coming off a 6-4 non-league win over San Luis (San Luis, AZ). The Criminals record now stands at 10-4.

With the defeat, Cortez drops to 2-8 on the year. The Colts travel to Washington (Phoenix, AZ) to clash with the Rams in a non-league test on Friday, March 28. The Rams go into the test with a record of 3-3. Washington won 10-7 in their recent league test against Glendale (Glendale, AZ)
