In Thursday's non-league game, the host Rockridge Rockets baseball team scored a close 8-2 victory over the Geneseo Maple Leafs.
The Rockets (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Seymour (Payson, IL). The Indians enter the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Seymour held off Hamilton/Warsaw (Hamilton, IL), 4-0, in a league game.
Next, the Maple Leafs face the Hall Red Devils (Spring Valley, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 29. Geneseo will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Red Devils enter the game with a 3-3 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL).
