The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS) and the host Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS), saw Saltillo's baseball team gain a win over Mooreville by a tally of 10-4.

The Tigers (13-4) will now prepare for their battle against Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS). The Conquistadors enter the 6A Region 1 battle with a 10-5 record.

Next, the Troopers face the Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 29. Mooreville will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Red Raiders enter the battle with a 7-11 record after their 14-2 league loss to Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS).
