The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Royal Highlanders (Simi Valley, CA) and the visiting Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), saw Royal's baseball team gain a win over Rio Mesa by a tally of 9-3.
The Highlanders (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Santa Monica was overwhelmed by South (Torrance, CA), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Spartans face the Thousand Oaks Lancers (Thousand Oaks, CA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Rio Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
