Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team top the visiting Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY), 19-3 in a league game.

With the victory, Sayre advances its record to 7-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY) to play the Pandas in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 1. The Pandas come into the game with a record of 5-0. Notre Dame Academy won 10-7 in their recent non-league game against Anderson (Cincinnati, OH)

The Broncos now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scott County for a Region 7 game on Tuesday, April 15. Frederick Douglass will play a Cardinals team coming off a 19-6 non-league loss to Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-4.
