The Lynden Lions overwhelmed the visiting Lakewood Cougars softball squad by a count of 15-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions meet the Lynnwood Royals (Bothell, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 28. Lynden will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Royals go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 25-3 non-league loss to Shorewood (Shoreline, WA).
The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA). The Pioneers go into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Nooksack Valley toppled Meridian (Bellingham, WA), 15-2, in a non-league challenge.
