The Natchitoches Central Chiefs overwhelmed the visiting Byrd Yellow Jackets softball squad by a count of 13-3 in Thursday's league challenge.
Coming up next, the Chiefs encounter the Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, March 29. Natchitoches Central will attempt to move on its 8-14 season record.
With the loss, Byrd moves to 4-11 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Benton (Benton, LA) to meet the Tigers in a 5A District 1 test on Tuesday, April 1. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 14-6.
