Louisiana High School Softball - St. Edmund bested by Catholic of Pointe Coupee

The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets triumphed over the host St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays softball squad by a count of 18-8 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Hornets play the West Feliciana Saints (St. Francisville, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 28. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to upgrade on its 16-6 season record.
The Fighting Blue Jays (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA). The Trojans enter the 1A District 6 challenge with a 14-8 record. In their last challenge, Sacred Heart overcame Westminster Christian Academy (Opelousas, LA), 17-1, in a league challenge.
