The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) and the host Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL), observed LaSalle-Peru's softball team get by Coal City by a tally of 6-3.

The Cavaliers (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Rockets go into the non-league bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Rock Falls was routed by Princeton (Princeton, IL), 3-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Coalers clash with the Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 29. Coal City will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL).
