The Cortez Colts softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Coronado Dons to 1 in the Colts league win on Thursday.

The Colts now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tempe for a 4A Black Canyon battle on Monday, March 31. Cortez will confront a Buffaloes team coming off a 21-11 league win over Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Buffaloes record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Coronado moves to 0-6 on the season. The Dons travel to Yuma (Yuma, AZ) to confront the Criminals in a non-league battle on Monday, March 31. The Criminals come into the battle with a record of 4-3. Yuma lost 14-4 in their recent non-league battle against San Luis (San Luis, AZ)
