McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Corry Beavers (Corry, PA), 10-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, McDowell improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Trojans travel to Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY) to play the Hawks in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 1. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 5-2. Pike County Central won 17-2 in their recent league game against Phelps (Phelps, KY)

The Beavers now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Girard for a District 10 Region 3 game on Tuesday, April 1. Corry will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 13-1 league loss to Union City (Union City, PA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-2.
