In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Cranberry Area Berries softball team scored a nice 14-1 victory over the Franklin Knights.

The Berries (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA). The Crusaders go into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Elk County Catholic was routed by Johnsonburg (Johnsonburg, PA), 24-4, in a league match.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA) in a match, on Tuesday, April 1. Franklin will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers go into the match with a 4-1 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Hubbard (Hubbard, OH).
