In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Winthrop Vikings softball team scored a tight 9-5 win over the East Boston Jets.

The Vikings (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Salem (Salem, MA). The Witches come into the Northeast match with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Jets battle the O'Bryant Tigers (Roxbury, MA) in a Boston City - North match, on Tuesday, April 1. East Boston will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
